POEM
by Ezra Pound

"Green arsenic smeared on an egg-white cloth,
Crushed strawberries! Come, let us feast our eyes."

ABOOUT THIS PROJECT

This poem I learnt from high school inspired me a lot of project.   In 1912, Pound helped create a movement that he and others called "Imagism," which signaled a new literary direction for the poet. At the core of Imagism, was a push to set a more direct course with language, shedding the sentiment that had so wholly shaped Victorian and Romantic poetry. His creative concept gave me a new way of observing the world. After I lived in Tucson, I often explored the landscape of the surrounding area. These photos were taken under this premise.
